PRIOR TO TREATMENT

What to Do Before Your Treatment:

  1. Hydrate: Drink plenty of water to ensure your body is well-hydrated before the procedure. This helps with the healing process.

  2. Eat: Have a light meal or snack before your appointment to prevent low blood sugar and ensure you're feeling comfortable during your treatment.

  3. Clean Skin: Arrive with clean skin. Please remove all makeup prior to your appointment, or come in with no makeup on.

  4. Consult the Clinic Policy: Please read our clinic policy prior to your treatment and feel free to ask us any questions you may have. We are happy to provide clarity on anything.

What to Avoid Before Your Treatment:

  1. Avoid NSAIDs: Refrain from taking NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood-thinning medications at least 7 days prior to your treatment.

  2. No Strenuous Exercise: Avoid intense physical activities or heavy exercise for 24-48 hours before your appointment to reduce the risk of bruising or swelling.

  3. Limit Alcohol and Caffeine: Refrain from consuming alcohol and caffeine at least 24 hours before your treatment, as they can increase the risk of swelling and bruising.

  4. Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your skin from direct sun exposure and sunburns prior to treatment, as irritated or sunburned skin can lead to complications.

  5. No Waxing or Hair Removal: If you’re getting facial treatments, please avoid waxing, threading, or any other hair removal procedures 48 hours before your appointment.

  6. Avoid Smoking: Refrain from smoking at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment to optimize healing and minimize potential complications.

  7. Stop Certain Supplements: If you're taking supplements like vitamin E, fish oil, or garlic (which can thin the blood), please stop them for at least 7 days before treatment. Always consult with your practitioner if you're unsure.
